So....is there any way to know or find out what size jigs to use? like I found bigger bass seem to like bigger baits as the water gets cooler.i just hate putting on multiple size jigs trying to find the right size....just curious

You just have to test each time that you are out. Some days they like 1/16th oz jig head with a 2" bait and some days they like it downsized even further to a 1/64 oz jig head with a very small bait. (the New Bobby Garland baits are the smallest that I have found so far.) The fish will dictate what they want.

From what I've gathered learning to target crappie as well, they like jigs

big, medium, and small;
moving fast, medium, slow, or still;
on the rise or on the fall;
sitting still, slightly twitching, swinging on a free line, swimming back and forth;
light colors, dark colors, sparkly colors, natural colors, fuzzy, plastic;

From what i've gathered the most important thing seems to be using electronics to find them (i.e. drop a bunch of brush piles so you know where to look) then try all of the things above until you narrow down what gets the most bites on that particular day. Certain lakes seem to have certain depths/colors the regulars like to use, that get bit more consistently. What lakes do you fish, mainly Hubbard?

My rookie 2cents says to use the smallest jig possible, but I'm sure that isn't always the case.

For those of you that want small jigs the place is Chuck&Debs. Barlow's is beginning to have more jigs but a ways from the small ones yet.

I fish Lavon a lot, lately this has been the ticket for bigger fish. 1/16oz pink jighead and a stump bug. Bigger baits were all but ignored
