I have an 84 year young BIL battling "C word " that is visiting East Texas this weekend and wants us to go catfishing Saturday. Lake Fork is the closest lake I have seen any reports about on TFF, but I have never fished it for catfish, only bass.

I was hoping I could get some pointers on where to start looking, aside from someplace to get some Stubby's smile. It sounds like he has those fish on Fork table trained to his recipe.

We might even consider a guide for half day if sometime has an opening for Saturday on this short notice instead of just trying to get lucky.

Thanks.
Bg

Stubby bait is the best bait to use. I know he is aware but is too shy to say that. Very nice to tell them the right depth Stubby.

Might try throwing out some kind of chum when you tie up on the stump - probably the easiest thing for you would be bird feed. Just don't overdo it.
