You should start guiding that lake. With all the limits you pulled out you'll make a fortune. And on top of that TPWD will stock more hybrids since that's your goal. To be recognize for the stocking program

School of hybrids is getting massive again next to our boat. I sense they are gonna bust them shads soon. We wacking them right now good but looking forward to throwing BIG plugs for Big hybrids.

It was a great day John!! Next time bring a landing net and you won't be loosing any hybrids at the boat. Never know when you'll hook up to a monster. Not bad for a little kayak looking thingy majingy.

I will start releasing hybrids on Somervillle. I understand they don't reproduce natraly but not the white bass. We had an explosion of white bass poulation with all that rain we had the past few years. No way I can put a dent in the white bass populations.

Bruce, I fished Somerville this morning, must have been where you fished yesterday. All the fish looked like the teenagers at the mall.....piercings all over their face and lips. Lots of 10 1/2 -11" fish so next year looks to be pretty good fishery wise. Would like to fish with you and figure out the "thumping thing" on Somerville this winter.

Sounds good ML. You'll be the first to know once I figured them out. Somerville is shallow and different then most lake with no deep areas or deep channels running through the lake. Figuring them out during winter gonna be tuff!! Might have to find a mud hole some where and hope they are stacked up in that hole. I've pull up hybrids during winter that had belly stain with mud.

One other thing I found out about Somerville is if you catch a bunch of small whitess in a spot leave. Don't waste your time. Find another school Them big ones are bunch up some where else.

That's my thoughts, let's keep catching and releasing them until they restock (cross my fingers). Keep the CPR up, we love the pictures. Everything does point to an incredible white bass population explosion. None of us can put a dent in the population. Well, maybe Brandon, the boy has skills

It's not just your fishing skills and desire to be an ongoing learner, but your absolute generosity in sharing your knowledge. Even more than that, though, is the fact that you bring your son in on it. I have two boys, and we live in College Station. Maybe some day our paths will cross.

I can say 100% that you're statement is absolutely correct!!! I just got a solo skiff and have no electronics on it just basically a kayak with a motor on it. I started fishing at sunup and by 9:30 only had 1 crappie to show for it. As I was cruising the lake this man had his motor up and was flagging me down!! I thought he was broke down so went to go see if he needed help. Not only did Bruce tell me he was sitting on a huge school he rigged my line with one of the last baits he had left to help me hook up. He kept track of the school and would mark them for me and in no time I was catching fish left and right!!!

Now I have never previously met Bruce but for him to go out of his way to help me have a productive day I cannot be any more grateful. Truly a great man and I really hope to see him on the water again. I will keep pet spoons with me just in case to repay him back. What a great guy.
