I don't know where to post this so I'll shoot for here! Is there another lake in Texas any where near as good as Tawakoni for fishing (all species considered)? Same question about Oklahoma lakes? Thanks

There may be one as good as Tawakoni, but I don't know about it if there is. I never cross the Red to fish, but I doubt there is.

Fork is a pretty good lake for bass, crappie, bream, and channel catfish. I lived in Arkansas for 23 years and thought there were some good lakes there, but Fork is the best one I've been on. In Oklahoma, Pine Creek is the best one I've fished. I used to go up there all the time and fished primarily on the Pine Creek arm before I got a place at Fork. Always caught fish - bass, bream, and catfish. Also scenic, and the locals will agree that it it the best lake in that part of the state to fish even though they don't make an effort to make it known for obvious reasons.

I wish I could fish some more of the dfw lakes to have anot opinion on this!
But my favorite lake for catfish is hubbard creek
