Anyone willing to share the hazards of running up into Mountain Creek from the boat ramp on Mountain Creek Lake? Is it deep enough to run on plane to the creek? I grew up close by on the Grand Prairie side and remember how shallow the lake was many years ago. Went to a funeral of a brother firefighter at the National Cemetery Saturday and saw a surprising amount of trailers @ the ramp and it reminded me that I keep meaning to go. I always run on plane to the creek. It is very shallow after you go under the bridge.

Yes, you can run on plane to the creek. It's pretty shallow, 3 feet or so, but you won't have any trouble. If you're standing in the parking lot looking out at the lake, put in on the ramp on the left, the one on the right has fallen off so I'm told. Once I put in, I usually run towards grand prairie and then turn left and run straight under the bridge and into the creek. Drop down once the finder shows 6 feet.

Also, Lock your truck!!!! And don't leave anything in it you wouldn't want stolen.

There's wood telephone poles about 50 yds to the left and 75 yds to the right just go down the middle away from the (points)and watch for floaters they move around.

You really need 2 people to launch or you will get wet. We had a club tourney there this weekend, that's why you saw so many trailers there. Lake is fishing good.
