I decided to go run my boat and see what the crappie were doing. I got near the ramp and saw 2 nice turkeys run into the woods, then what looked like a boat dealership. I found out they were having the tough man fishing tournament. I almost turned around and went home, because a few hundred boats buzzing back and forth all morning, in combination with the bright moons the last few days and the floodgates letting water out, the odds were stacked against me.
I launched and started heading out, and got to watch a young buck swim across the cove in front of me. Watching the wildlife was worth the trip even if the fish werent cooperating. I did my usual routine, started off scanning for a new spots before going to the known producers. Fishing wasnt great but steady enough to keep me interested. I dint catch as many today as I had been, but the quality was nice. even caught 2 decent bream.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

almost forgot, best fish were in 15 feet, but caught a few in 20 ft as well. Belton crappie are picky, so minnows, and a crappie nibble is what they wanted. water temp was pretty much 72 degrees everywhere I went. The fish are scattered but some are still holding on cover. Bite was better in the morning then waned late morning.
If you go find fish now, its likely you will find them in the same areas, just deeper as it gets colder.
This Tuesday will be a supermoon, the closest its been in around 70 years,. I wont be on belton for a bit after that moon.
