Went to Decker lake with Chris (Buffaloman Chris) and Ben (Cyprinus), was a long drive, 3 hours for each of us but I had been wanting to hit this place again for a long time, I had one goal, that was to break my pb buff, we got there at 6:30 and fished hard all day but just caught kitties, finally midday I got a decent run, the fish took a hard run but my drag was not set and snapped me off grrrr, then more blanking happened as the sun disappeared then finally I got another run and the fight was on, multiple hard runs as my heart pounded as Chris heckled me with "it's just a catfish " lol, finally I bring it within nets reach and Bens alarm goes off , we get mine in the net and my jaw dropped, this fish was a damn swimming elephant lol, I was telling Chris it's gotta be a mid 40 but when he lifted it "barely" he said more like a 50, well he was spot on and it weighed in at a even 53 lbs, Ben's came in at 35 I believe.

Well done sir. A fish like that makes the trip worth all the effort and time invested.

Also loving this great weather while it lasts, guess the boys have been in your area as of late and sending them home with broken hearts lol, You still fishing? if so perhaps an Arlington trip is in order soon.
