All I can say is..... If you are going to hush Lake Athens, bring a white/char buzz bait and some wm-gold baby brush hogs. Fish em right in the middle of the biggest weed beds you can find.......that's not hard to do

Fished it yesterday. Caught most everything on a fluke. Docks after 11:30.

Go back to my original post.
it was yesterday (Sunday) that we did the buzz bait fishing & baby brush hogs
we got there at daybreak and hit em with the buzz baits and then went to the brush hogs in the same BIG weed beds.
we left at 10:30 to go home and eat breakfast and watch football.

I am a firm believer in the old saying --- certain courses for certain horses.
I catch fish in Athens ---- I cannot catch fish,,, period on Sam Rayburn
Confidence, knowing the fish patterns, TOW,,,, I don't know, but if I want to catch some fish I just go to Athens........

Well, I am going tomorrow, haven't been there in awhile.... I hope things are better. My plans are to try something different than the wacky worm I always used before, going to try some crank baits, rat l traps, swim jigs... see what happens like that.
