I swear it seems like the weatherman never gets it right. I always go out thinking of how great it's going to be with light winds. And when I get to the water Mother Natures like "HELLO you're back." I can deal with the 40 degree water and mid 30 temps but the winds make you take safety to a new level. Thank goodness for the fish that made it worthwhile! Now time to head back out to another pond tomorrow. Tight Lines!!!

I use the Wind Finder app to check the forecast before I head out in the yak. It gives you wind speed and direction forecast in 3 hr increments. Seems to be pretty accurate and it has locations for many lakes around here. It also gives you temp, cloudy/sunny, rain, and baro pressure.
