Strong and I made a run this morning out to the Brazos below PK; thinking it was going to be a great day of striped bass fishing but..... BRA had left water out this past week at 9,200 CFS, closed the gate on Thursday and by this morning it was 50 CFS. The water was down about 1-1/2 feet from normal, crystal clear, cooler than it has been but no bait and no fish to be seen. Just goes to show that you can think you got it figured out and then you don't have a clue. It's fishing. Anyway it's a fun video with a great friend.... Knuckles missed then one, he has been under the weather for a week and didn't want him in the elements.

I was out there on 11/1. The flow was slow and the striper were nowhere to be found. I did manage a few largemouth bass, sandbass and a quite a few sunfish. Better luck next time! Tight lines...

We had a small cool front come through Friday night and with it high atmospheric pressure. That could of shutdown the bite too.

At least that's my excuse. I fished yesterday and today and only managed a tiny bluegill and 9" bass yesterday and 2 small green sunfish today. Hit 3 ponds over the 2 days and 2 are normally pretty productive.

And I really enjoy your videos. Especially the ones where you catch fish grin

Bite was interesting on PK lake yesterday. We found schooling LMBs back in the coves in a few places. They turned on just as the sun was setting. That is just plain awesome water - so clear! I was riding along with a pro bass tournament guy on his glitter boat, and we saw a LOT of the lake very quickly (50-60mph on a lake is an interesting feeling). Yes, I saw common carp and buffs as well, and yes, you bet I am going to do this lake next spring - for those REAL fish.

Definitely a different late October / early November compared to last year, but that's okay. smile

We post plenty of videos with nice fish; I figured it doesn't hurt to show the reality of fishing....just keeping it real.

Yes, TexasFlyCaster, we see carp every time we fish below PK dam (including this past weekend), just not the target this time around.

Glad you enjoy the videos j_hirn2!

Tight lines.
