Lake Waco will probably be bigger and busier than I feel like bothering with for the few short hours I would have... Probably just 2.5-3hr on the water... But picking up a new canoe with a friend and wanting to go catch some fish on the way back, so open to suggestions, lets hear em!

I would do Tradinghouse Creek near Waco, good crappie lake.

Aiming for bass, but thanks for suggestion. I am leaning towards checking out Lynn creek area of Joe pool, been years since I had a small enough boat to go up in the creeks there and its fun fishing and paddling scenery if nothing else. Taking a novice angler with me so catching would be cool but its not the biggest priority or I'd just go get them where I know they are at on Lew. Adventure above all else for this trip so anything is fair game really! Won't be on water til after we grab the canoe 9am in Rogers anyways so, later in the day and off the water by 2 or so probably. Not best odds for catching but you never know!
