I have had luck with the plopper for several years now. Don't usually fall into fads (too bad) and I know on the right day a bare hook will catch fish. Has anyone fished and had luck with the new Double Whopper Plopper buzz bait?

thought you were talking about rigging up a second WP behind the first with about 18" of braid separating them...

Nope, it's a buzzbait with two little ploopers for the blades.

I've thrown it a little. I like that it can "stop" and just float by a stump that just buzzed up too! Haven't caught anything on it yet but it looks good. Of course the original whopper-plopper looks great but I haven't caught a fish on it either!

Not to crazy about having a lure on the end of the line that doesn't have a hook on it. Looking at the double whopper plopper only the middle lure has a hook on it. I would hate to see a double digit blow up on one of the outside baits which don't have hooks.

If a DD blew up on one of the front baits he would have no problem fitting the whole thing in his mouth. They are not that big.

I have one in white and havent caught anything on mine yet either. Although ive really been waiting for the top water bite to heat up a little bit and I think it finally has.

I keep hearing that they are hard to keep running straight. Have any of you had this issue?

I've had one miss on it. It doesn't throw far catches to much air. Half the time it will only have 1 of the top pieces on top and you have to rip it to get both up. You water the first 6-8 ft trying to get it to run right. By then your half way back to boat.
