I am looking to pick up a couple of rods in the $100-$120 range. I have my eye on these 2 and am leaning towards the fury as of now.. Can anyone with experience with these rods let me know the pros/cons of both and give your opinion on which is better? Also, are there any other really good options out there in this price range?
Thanks

I'm looking at the 7'6 cranking rod, as well as something to throw Carolina rigs on.

you wont really find a fury crankin rod outside the 705cb and i havent used that particular rod as i stick to their champion line for cranking. But the 704 is a solid Crig rod

I am not a Duckett fan after breaking a few. I like my Falcon Buccos and my 13 Omen quite a bit.
See you on the lake and have a great day!

The duckett ghost 7'6 medium heavy is an excellent cranking rod. Lightweight, soft tip and plenty of backbone. I have a 7'3heavy that I fish a 1/2oz c-rig on and It's hard to put down. Lots of guys rip on the ducketts pretty good but I own and fish with several spinning and casting duckett rods and have yet to have any problems out of one. I have higher priced rods but I love my ducketts.

Not a Duckett fan. I own 3 Ghost and 4 Micro Magics. They will be my last Ducketts. The guides are just not very durable and bend very easily.

Furys no doubt. Once you look at the craftsmanship of a Dobyns you'll see it's a no brainer after you look at a duckett

Furys no doubt. Once you look at the craftsmanship of a Dobyns you'll see it's a no brainer after you look at a duckett this! Even ducketts most expensive rods look like garbage from a craftsmanship part. I never had any issue with the micro magic rods when I owned them but did break both the ghost I had. Buddy works for academy and he steers everyone clear of the duckett ghost rods because he gets so many in that are broke.

I would also look at Abu Garcia's "Veritas 2.0" rods for that price range. A lot of my buddies use em and haven't had any complaints.
the original Duckett's I've had worked great no issues. the couple Ghosts I have the eyelet's have come out so maybe the glue they use isn't so good in Louisiana summer heat!
