Had a few hours this afternoon so I headed out to Lake Murvaul to terrorize the crappie hiding under docks. The bite was fantastic as was the weather. Only a few other boats on the lake. Don't know how many I caught (it was catch and release day) but I have the sandpaper thumb. Most were 11 to 12 inch fish with a few dinks thrown in. I hit a few brush piles too and caught a couple 15 inchers. These fish are really getting fat and sassy. Same old bait...Garland baby shad in blue ice or monkey milk with a pink jig head. With a couple exceptions, the bite was really soft....had to watch that line closely.
