It all starts with a beautiful day in God's creation. grin

Been workin' and fishing a lot so haven't had time to post. Saturday a week ago, Glen and I tried the deep ledges. Actually, we wandered over to shoot the bull with Flounder and stumbled on some good fish! lol Thanks Mike B.!

All solid fish and some pigs. Mostly 22'-24'.

Ended up with about 44. Some very healthy fish. Fatties lol

Hard drinkin... cheers

Had so much fun, played hooky from church the following Sunday and caught another limit by myself that morning. I wuz texting some buddies about 5 am, got jacked up myself, and went on out there again. Forgot to take the 'before' pict, so here is the 'after'. lol cool

Good times!!

Had such a good time... and wanted to strike while the iron is hot, so took off last Friday afternoon and tried again. I think I had 22 before it got dark. cool

Then Saturday, they were not where we left them, so had to wander around on timber and catch 1-2-3 per tree and bp. We used slab slobber and Glen said he was kinda skeptical, until I caught about ten in a row. grin He put some more on and we both started catching. Also, Glen went old-school and pulled out a Copperhead Blue, which was a favorite color of mine from last year. And he was catching 5-1 until I put one on also. They also bit the big baits (match the hatch) in natural shad and BES. Very fun couple of weekends! (I love hunting season!) banana

39 and holding... Solid fish again

Super Fry

They like those shad, big baits and Slab Slobber, that makes them taste like shad. lol

Great catchin'. Lavon water level must have risen with as many fish you/Glen removed.

Thanks all again cheers and thanks for the tip. I didn't know that button was there. That works much easier! grin

Here's another couple picts I found showing the 3/16 jighead with Purple Passion Super Fry. This is a very good bait profile. cool

Maybe half of our ~40 keepers last Saturday came on Copperhead Blue... which is really strange for Lavon.
Weekend before, most all were on Black/Char and BES. I caught him on the bottom lip which is also strange... but it counts! lol
Glen was using Super Fry's, but only had a couple. I had to dig, but found some Mr. Fry's.
Thanks Glen, for going old school!
And thanks again to Todd & Belinda for making great baits for crappie fisherman.

Good times alright!
