 Holes in cavitation plate from hydrofoil - JB weld?

Hey guys. So after I took off my hydrofoil I have the four holes in my cavitation plate where the hydrofoil used to mount. Can I use JB weld to fill in these holes? Or should it be specifically Marine-Tex?
I would imagine JB weld could do the trick, checking with you guys though to see if there is any special reason to go with something specific.

Napa has some stuff called Liquid Steel, better than JB IMO. That's my two cents.

you could just have an alum. welder do it right.. and weld the holes up.

I have an older Triton with the same type of holes. Ignore them..... or consider it a weight reduction tactic!
