looking to possible getting a kayak that would be rigged for bass fishing, where do I start? looking for fishability and also something I can move around fast in and possible stand up in on calmer days? I have a 1998 4 runner and live in an 1 bed room apartment complex. thanks for the help

I have a 2014 Wilderness Systems Ride 115X kayak for sale. It comes fully rigged out, and is a great starter kayak. It's the one I started with. PM me for details, if you're interested

Gonna assume the information you provided means you probably aren't looking at spending north of $1k on your first kayak...

And you don't have to in order to get everything you want. Luckily there are a TON more boats in the plastic navy these days at every price point.

Academy actually has a wide selection of kayaks... But most importantly have you been on any at all yet to know what you do and don't like? If not, go do a paddle day at the lake and test ride some, or go to the test tank at Mariner Sails and ask around, someone will likely let you try anything they own to see if you like it yourself. Back when I bought one it was a pescador, because that was just the kayak you bought if you could justify the expense on your first fishing kayak and nothing else really competed too much with it. These days... A vibe sea ghost would be hard for me to look past as a beginning paddle pushing the budget south of $1k.

Save money to spend on a good paddle and off in the budget, and buying used may limit selection a lot but really flexes the budget and helps with accessories cost too which is what really breaks the bank

Hobie Pro Angler 14 is the finest fishing kayak in the world.

You can do everything the glitter boats do except go 70mph. You will not be disappointed.
