BostonBob & I had a big family trip on RR last Thursday & Friday. They are my oldest customers & have been going with me on 4 trips a year for at least 10 years. They were celebrating Howard's 90th birthday coming up soon.
RR is producing some good fishing @ the present time. Our two boats landed at least 500 fish the two days. The majority of them were under the 10 inch limit, so we did a lot of releasing. All the fish were caught on the East side of the lake on the humps in 25-35 feet of water. They seemed to prefer the chartreuse & white slabs in the 1-2 ounce size. They took the fly too, but the slab was the best. The weather was perfect both days with light wind and comfortable temperatures. The drum do not show in the photo, but we landed several in the one to two pound class. These people love eating fish and so we kept the drum, too. Howard said they were just as good as crappie (we caught a few of them also). The Isle du Bois State Park is first class & I always enjoy going there. Spotted 3 deer & one turkey on the way to the boat ramp.

LL is my favorite lake & I fish it often. Fishing there is a little more difficult, but we catch them every time out. The numbers are not there like RR.
