I was contacted by a Mr. Graham from 2cool fishing forum. Reading and seeing many of my post and reports from another forum he some how found my number and contacted me. He ask me if I can help him learn how to catch fresh water fish for the only thing he knows is salt water fishing. Sitting at home getting HSS (Home Sickness Syndromes) me and my son decided to call Mr. Graham and take him to Lake Somerville for a knowledge sharing day. We launch early morning and found fish soon as we turn the corner. We landed one hybrid and a few large whites then decided to check all my favorite spots to see if they all had fish and decide on fishing the best location. Fish were holding the same pattern as last week and were bunching up in small school at all location we stopped at. I tied on a Deep diving crank bait tendum rigged with a pet spoon and the rest was history. Lips was ripping. Fish landing and hitting the deck left and right once we locked on to a school that would not move. We saw lots of hybrids mix in with the whites but seems them hybrids were not ready to feed yet. Mr. Graham has the hot hands today. He caught and landed four hybrids and a full limit of big fat whites bass.
Mr. Graham could not stay for the evening bites so we went home at 1:00 pm. Folks fish are very active right now spitting up shads schooling and bunching together. Make time and get on out there and fish before the big cold northern changes the bite or maybe even temporally shut it down for a while. Thanks for reading my post. Hope you guys catch a bunch for the grease pot or even an epic day.

Mr.Graham

Mr.Graham future fishing dog and his nice limit. His comments to me. Wow!! This is the most fish I ever caught.

My son life vest came off so he can strip off heavy coat but put back on soons we pull anchor. He gives today a thumbs up!!

Nice cooler of fish.

Mr.Graham never eaten a hybrid striper before. He cook this today and showed it to me. Said his family loved it.How do you guys do that? turning a slimy ugly fish into a piece of art. Just WOW!!
Me I just throw my fish in the oven. Head, tails, scales and all and bake it untill it looks like it's been tortured enough. Then peel it like a banna and pick the meat off.

Last week at Lake Whitney. Bump into a vet soldier station at kileen Tx launching his kayak at the ramp. Told him to heck with the yak. Come fish with me and my son. Best fishing experience he ever had. Sent him home with stripers and full limit of whites. Veterans day is this Friday guys. Take a vet fishing.

Same scenario. Lots of white dots. Lots of fish. Smaller dots equals smaller fish. Bigger dots equals bigger fish. Some are scatter, some are organize into schools. Trust your electronics. It is what you are seeing if electronic properly set. They are not rocks or big gravel pits. No one has the time or the money to boat a boat full of rocks and go dump it in the middle of no where. Learn all the methods of catching. Then go and throw some bait into those mess of dots and see what will happen ? You'll be suprise!!

GREAT job at showing the entire state where you're catching fish. Now every clown from Dallas to Austin will be right there....

hoggwid there are like hundred of other lakes in Texas that has more fish than this little lake call Somerville. What makes you think they wanna come here. And even so it's great that others are visiting this little Lake Somerville. Maybe so TPWD might realize Somerville is an important lake and start stocking it on a yearly bases. This small lake may be small but it's one of many great good lake for all to come and fish. As in locations. Learn from Dennis Christian. He gives away all the location he fish at. You see anyone complaining about that lake yet or any fish being depleted yet ? You can complain all you want but I'm just that kind of a person that share 99% of the time. I don't worry too much about people fishing any of the location I fish. That just mean that they too will have a good chance in catching some fish. And if so I'm happy for them. I'm sure they got family, friends, and fishing buddies that they too take fishing and would love to put them on fish like I do. I'm not just only gonna give them hints of locations, I'm gonna show them what I know. If it's a techniques I learn from a guide than I will not share it openly because I understand they use those methods to catch fish and make a living from their guiding buss.
As for lying to you and the public. I am still regretting doing so and am still regretting today. I lost the trust of an entire forums of friends and good people. I've learn from my mistake and am moving on so if you still hate me for that please feel some compassion and forgive. Thanks for reading my post. I hope you and your son get a chance and go out there and fish as much as I do with my son.

Yesterday was a blast. At one point we were casting for 5 minutes and retrieving a fish on every cast.

Thanks again Bruce!!!

Hoggwild - don't worry about the screen shots of sonar - we set pvc poles out marking all the spots and attached signs saying "Fish Here" banana
