Mike, most if not all the guides on Tawakoni guide for sand bass and stripers. The only two that I know who could or would help you bass fishing are Smitty's guide service and Tony Parker guide service. You can google both and get their web site. Never fished with either but both know the lake really well.

Matt Cartwright knows the lake as good as anyone and will guide for bass as well, though he stays really busy with the white fish.

Here is Jimmy Smith's contact number 903-896-7066 Back in the day when he was fishing bass tournaments you could just walk up to him if the tournament was on Cedar Creek or Tawakoni and hand him your money and save time at weigh in. Definitely a great fisherman for any species and I can promise you one thing. You will not be able to find any guide who will treat you any better than Jimmy. I was fortunate to have grown up in Oak Cliff where me and Jimmy both went to high school and Smittys was an awesome place to hang out. We had some great times when he was fishing Century Bass Club also.

Jimmy's mom was everybody's mom and knew as much about tackle as anybody. What he said about Jimmy on Tawakoni and Cedar Creek in God's truth. He took my money on more than one occasion.
