Does anyone know if the pond behind home depot in waxahachie is still
accessible to fish? I fished it once a couple years ago. Since most
bank fishing spots are getting slammed. I was thinking about trying
it again but I don't live close so can anyone tell me if you can still
get to it behind best buy and home depot? thanks

I tried this spot today for the first time. You can still access it behind Best Buy. I threw a topwater popper, senko, spinner, and rattle trap with no luck. Evidence of bass is there, judging by trash left on the bank. The water is very clear due to the rock bottom. I saw several perch interested in my lures, so I threw a small crappie jig with no luck. Have you had any luck there in the past?

With the water as clear as you described ,I would use a finesse approach. Very very small baits with small diameter line on a spinning real.

Worth a shot. Water also appears to be pretty deep too. May try taking my pond boat out and bouncing some different things off the bottom or drop shotting.

We took out pond boat out there Saturday afternoon, and fished for about an hour... I caught one on first cast by the submerged island on a spinner. Caught a few on green flukes with 3/8 oz bullet weight on north side against the wall. My buddy caught another by the island on the way in with the same fluke setup. We could see several fish hanging out on the edge of the island.
