Headed to Rayburn for my first time this weekend. Staying down on the south end of the lake.
Not asking for your spots just some ideas of patterns to get us started.
Thanks in Advance for any help.

6xd around the canyons. Drop shot around the first 5 pylons on either side of the 147 bridge. Weightless senko or wacky worm if they are being real finicky.

Good grass, shallow in Buck, same in 5 fingers and Caney. If you are staying down south no reason to make the drive. Bring Senko's, frog, maybe a whopper plopper.

The Church steps coves east of Caney Creek have had some good early morning frog bites and top water bites.

Stay along the south shoreline when running south past the bridge towards Calhoun point. You can continue along the south shoreline towards caney or cut across from Calhoun to Harvey creek ramp. Lots of stumps in the black forest.

Been watching people run where ever they wanted too. Lake level is getting low enough that u have to stay in the lanes.

I've been seeing this also. I've seen more boats this year running timber than I've ever seen before - Canyons, Black Forest, the area north of Deer Stand and between it and Shirley Creek, etc....Every time I see it I just cringe and wait on that "BAM"....haven't heard it yet, but I know it's coming.

I run from the bridge to Peacock point, then I turn 45 deg. to the north and run toward the main point of land on the north bank (east of Harvey creek ramp). This will put you in the boat lane slot. As you run keep an eye on both sides for where the stump line is and adjust if needed. When I get about 1/4 mile off of the north bank I turn an parallel it until I get pass the mouth of Veach. You have clear sailing form here to the dam.

This is pretty much it but after Veach there are still a few small patches to look out for. When you go past Veach and the point where land turns to go back into Coleman there is a patch out in the middle where there are some jugs but not on all of them. There's also a few singles in the river out in front of Norris but past that your clean. All those may still be far enough under but if I remember right they should be getting close.
