Pretty bored with freshwater so I figured I'd try the Ol' bay out. I have been numerous times in other people's boats and have waded around on my own with ok success, but I never have launched my boat in the saltwater. I have a Skeeter Bay Pro 21 CC (Irony, I know). I would like a few suggestions on where I should launch, run, and fish; as I am semi-new to this type of water. I really just want to have a fun day on the water so... reds, specks, sand trout, or flounder is fine (even hard-heads Lol). Not looking to break any records here.. I want a safe, easy fishing plan. I do know the Yacht basin/Sea-wolf to the jetties area ok but like I said previously, I wasn't the one driving the boat. I have very good electronics, maps, and good gear. What do all you people suggest? I don't care, I will use shrimp or lures.

The Yacht basin is now closed to members only so you cant launch there. The causeway ramp is good and if you watch your electronics you should be ok. I would avoid west bay due to the numerous shallow shell reefs. You can fish the causeway area & RR bridge or head to SWP. There are a lot of flounder there now, but a lot of small ones, however we have had some good runs of keepers.
