I am wanting to fish an old lake I have not fished in a while. Lake Quitman. I heard last year they had some kind of fish kill. Does anyone have any information on that? Does it still have water in it? Have there been any bass biting lately? I have a aluminum boat and this lake is perfect for it.

I fished it in the spring and it was DEAD, nothing about it was interesting. Water was dirty and no visible habitat. I'll never go back. Now Lake Holbrook is another story. Take your boat there.

Fish both of them this year, did catch a few good ones at Quitman but that was in May.I fished around the dam. Holbrook would be my choice as well but I would nit hesitate to go to Quitman as well. Gook luck and let us know how you do!
