Current arsenal:

Pflueger Trion on a President rod 6'6" medium/fast Used to use as topwater and lures (spinnerbait/squarebills/plugs/rattletraps)

Pflueger President on TFO Signature 7' medium/fast Used to weightless worm with it

h20 Mettle on Vendetta 6'6" Medium/fast Have a jig tied to it although not used much in my neighborhood lakes

BPS Pro Qualifier on Veritas 7' Medium/fast weighted Texas rig/shakey head

New rig:
I bought a Plueger President Special edition spinning reel because....well I wanted it, it looked cool, love my regular president and it was on sale. My initial thought was get another TFO 7' medium/fast rod because I love the other TFO rod for worming so much I would appreciate the sensitivity etc to use for cranks etc as well. I went to buy one they didn't have it which led me to explore other options that I could possibly walk out the store with that day. (You know how that goes) Anyway I'm torn now.

Since I can't get immediate gratification should I order another 7' medium/fast as originally planned OR should I order a 7' medium-heavy to upgrade my game to a strictly worm purposed rod. I've always used medium action rods because they kind of work for a lot of applications but now that I have a variety of rods is it worth upgrading the backbone for that specific purpose? I've hauled up to 7lb bass out of the water using medium action only. I guess never fishing with a medium heavy I don't know if there is a tangible benefit... I have the opportunity now that I have a selection of rods/reels to go with a specialized rod function I'm just having a hard time making the decision. What would you do?
