Anyone know the history on Lake Stamford? Can't find much info on it? Looks like it got hit with drought conditions and recently came back up. Is it worth a trip to check out?

I grew up about 10 miles from lake Stamford. From what I've heard lately the fishing is decent, but those people are just fishing from docks and from bank. It hardly ever gets any pressure from boaters and I've always been successful bass fishing there. It has a good mix of cat tails and rocky bank, fishing is generally shallow (1-10ft) year round. Water is very dirty due to red mud bottom. Prepare to do lots of flipping soft plastics, if I threw any crank baits or spinnerbaits I usually just caught white bass.
