Headed back to Cypress next week. Any advice for a non tournament fishman who will be having guests to take out.

Small square bills on main lake points early.
Carolina rigs in same areas deeper
Flip docks with T rig craws

Thanks, will let you know what is happening next week. I will probably be fishing most every day for the next week or more.

We had a rough go last weekend, but the fish we did find were off main lake and secondary points, however I heard they were biting pretty good shallow in the back of creeks.

For numbers (mostly short fish and spots)...

1.5 square bills between docks where it dropped from 0 to 4 foot.
Preferably mid-creek and back where there is 6-12 foot of water in the channel.

Then there are large schools of spots in pockets chasing shad in 8-12 foot.

Like I said, shorts... Good numbers, but not tournament winners!!!

Caught a bunch last week flipping a Texas rig craw around boat docks in and near Walleye. First time there and was a fun time.

Cypress Springs has always been one of my favorite lakes to fish late in the year with a 1/2 ounce black/brown/amber jig on main lake docks and in Panther or Tall Tree. We need to have it get a lot colder before it really gets good.
