Mine's probably a little older than what you're looking for but I heard good things about the 93 and on Johnson Faststrikes. I heard 91 and 92 had some issues but from 93 on they got dialed in. So I bought one! I got my 19 foot Cajun with the 175 Faststrike for only $2500, and it's in pretty good shape. I thought it was a steal. Haven't had a single issue so far, have been very very pleased. I'll agree with those above about getting a big boat, I'd never go back to my 17 footer. Motor runs great, only thing I'd say is she's pretty thirsty.

I have a 97 ranger with a 96 johnson fast strike 150. I bought it last Jan. the previous owner took great care. It starts just by bumping the key.
I think you just get lucky sometimes..
