I'm going to College Station the next two days for business. I'll probably have a few hours free to fish. Any suggestions on good places to find some bass? I've tried Central Park and Gabbard Park before. Didn't get much either time. Normally I would just wonder around until I found something but since I'm limited on time I though I'd ask. Feel free to PM me if you don't want to get your favorite spots posted on here. I'm only there for a few hours so I won't spook your fish too bad.

There is a ranch off Hwy 21 in Bryan called Indian Spirit Springs. It has 3 ponds with bass, crappie and sunfish in them. It costs 10 dollars per day to fish there though.

Lake Somerville is about 45 minutes from College Station.

Lake Bryan, but it's a very poor fishing lake.

Fin feather lake. The fish are contaminated and stunted but I've heard it's fun to fish.

Also, there is a pond behind Target that is decent and one near the golf course on Villa Maria.

I made this google map with pins on it a while back. It has a few of the ponds I hit up.

A Few BCS Ponds

Thanks for the suggestions! I think I'll try out that pond by Target since you both suggested it. I'll save the other spots for the next time I do a guest lecture.

Johnny, that map you linked is awesome. I like that it even says where to park.
