Other than north and south lakes parks, are their any other public ponds in the area to fish from bank?

I just did that run checking them out. From there, closest ones I found were the park in Lewisville and the crappie barge on the lake. The barge ain't free though but the best fishing IMO.

Take a look at the link on the first post in the bank fishing section. It is a fantastic map. Depending on what kind of fish you are looking at targeting. My daughter wanted to target large fish this year. We looked over the map and found a pond in Lewisville off Corporate. She caught her personal best Common carp at 20 lbs.

If you are targeting cats, gar, crappie, whites or LMB I would also suggest hiking the greenbelt off 380. You can hike upstream or downstream. May even find a few hybrids.
