Fished Holbrook yesterday and caught about 15 fish, the biggest going 15 inches. Dropshotting docks and spinnerbaits on windy banks caught most of them.

Did not slay them but I caught a 8.2 on Friday and a 6.0 on Sunday on Joe Pool. Only fished a couple of hours each time.

Cedar Creek yesterday -- We had 19 in the boat, 5 jump off at the boat, and one big momma that broke my hook at the bend. Best 5 went around 22 lbs. anchored by two 5+ lbers.

Fished Lavon Saturday...caught 15, all on a Strike King 1.5 squarebill chart/black back crank. Biggest probably 3-4#.

Fished private waters on Sunday...caught 34, all on same crank as the day before. Biggest also 3-4#.

I would say the crankin' bite is on in NTX.

Well went to toledo for a little change and boy was that the wrong decision. Should have stayed on Rayburn where I know how to catch them. Just couldn't locate anything besides a few schoolers on toledo.

I hammered them with Cliff Crochet on day two of the Central Open. Punching hydrilla and other mixed vegetation. We both made our limit and culled several times, and I managed to cash a check after a pretty rough day one. Missed making the final 12 by 12 ounces and watched the fish that would have got me there come off.

but you got to ride with a crazy Cajun. That, in itself, would be worth the money. Good times for sure. That dude poled down next to us last year and he had me laughing my [censored] off. Almost missed out boat number.

12 ounces is tough. Lets you know you can hang though.

Better luck next time.
