Just upgraded from gen 2 to Gen 3, can anyone help me with which transducer type to choose in the setup?I have the LSS2 transducer but I do not see that option in the setup. Seems like somewhere I read I should use the HST-WSBL/HST-WSU, not sure... help.

On your basic 2d sonar transducer cable (the one with the blue end,) look down from the connector and there should be a label that states the model transducer you have

Confused as to what you're asking. In your title, you ask for assistance with a LSS2, which is a side/down scanning option, while your post is asking about a 2D transducer.

There are two tags, a white tag that has (032-0266-02) and a silver tag on the second of the two cables tied together that has 10-18 VDC Fuse ATC-3.
I cannot see any other identification on the cable.

I apologize for the confusion, I am setting up the Gen 3 and am attempting to set the proper setting for the LSS2. I did not see an option for a LSS2 transducer.

No need to set up the structure scan transducer. The install menu with the transducer type is for the 2d sonar. The transducer model you listed above is one of the most popular/common for the HDS series so I would select that one.

That would be correct. Once you attach the LSS2 cable to the unit, it should recognize it. Depending on how you mount the LSS2 transducer, you will have to set its orientation. Additionally, you will need to set left - right - left and right, or downscan.

Contrast / View (down scan , side scan, right or left) and Palette colors along with Range ( I would recommend auto) are the main settings you need to adjust to your liking on the Structure scan page.
