Back on Oct 27, I made the drive down to the coast to do battle with some bull redfish and possibly a few sharks. Our group wound up 10 fishermen strong and I do believe almost everyone reached the double digit catch mark! I even caught my first ray.

It was a blast and though I'm patiently waiting till I can make the drive back down, I surely want to make a drive North to Tawakoni or Lavon for some monster blue cats!!!

Hey, that's my backyard! Great pictures, looks like a ton of fun! I wanted a kayak to get off shore, but I mainly fish the marshes, so I settled into a KC kayak - plus the advantage of bringing my son was a factor. I'll most likely justify purchasing a nice, faster offshore vessel next year. I hope y'all had a great time! That's where we spend our summer weekends; swimming, bbqing and surf fishing. We love it there. It's not a white sand, clear water beach like all the college kids want, but it's beautiful to me.

That's one place I tried to camp and fish in August. The timing of good weather didn't work out so I went further west. Thx for the update.
