I fished many winters on fork catching big crappie. But it's been 10-15 since last time I did. Question is will the crappie move out on main like they did at fork on deep points, drop offs, deep docks and humps on all lakes? I mostly fun fish end of December into February. So this past year I took some of that time teaching myself to catch hybrid. I would like try and tackle crappie this winter at local lake. I've got the graphs to do it. I've got dock shooting down to an art during past summer with good success also.

In the winter you should find them deep on any lake, in winter here at Fork you will keep ALL the crappie that you catch, if you don't the GW will write you a good ticket.

If it was easy, everyone would do it

Every lake is different. Some lakes the majority of the fish will go up the creeks and on some lakes like Fork most will go deep on the mainlake. You can catch at least a few deep on most lakes though.
