Went there today and it is gated off!!!! I know they are developing, but I thought the public boat ramp was left alone or not part of that. Thought COE controls the ramps. No many public ramps on the lake to start. Now Force to now pay $20 plus dollars or put in and make long runs to get to the main body of water.

They closed the best ramp and opened the one on the west side facing Bass Pro.

That one is smaller, not in nearly as good shape and has little protection from any wind except a due east wind.

The reasons cited by the new marina owners, who are also the same group developing the whole thing, is for security reasons.

The other thing that is a little sad is the fact they basically stripped the land north of I- 30 of 60-80% of all the trees on that 75-100 acre piece of property. I guess it's in the name of progress, smirk
