I live in Fort Worth and want to make the trip over to LL. Coming from fort worth where is the closest/best ramp to use at LL? I only have a small 40hp motor on the boat so i'm willing to trailer it a bit farther to a ramp that gets me closer to good crappie locations on the lake.

Thanks,

Keith

I'm near the west side of the lake but have heard the east is much better.

Pilot Knoll boat ramp would be close to you and also a good ramp for smaller boats. Very close to standing timber and Hickory Creek which both can hold crappie during the fall months. Lots of bait in the area last week.

Agree with Jacky W. I have a 14ft Jon and put in lots of time in Pilot Knoll. As well Tower Bay on 35E can get you close to the Marina and Boat stalls, as well as LL Bridge. so you have several options.

Not this week or next it looks like. We may go from summer to spring if it keeps going.

Also Sycamore Bend is open currently, run by the town of Hickory Creek. Although its $10 a day if you dont buy the annual.

Isn't it $10 to launch from Pilot?
