Chipmaker Tom was kind enough to invite me to fish on Texoma Dam last Friday so I returned the favor by taking him fishing on LL Monday. After dropping the kids of to school, we started searching for those pesky fish. And searching we did! I must have scanned almost the entire lake and only two dandies for the effort. I wasn't sure if it was the east wind, the banana snack I brought, someone did the dirty deed the night before (yes I've been told that it ain't food for fishing
), or the barometric change. But my mind was coming up with excuses while I told Tom, one more spot and we are throwing in the towel.
Well, life's like a box of chocolate and you never know what you gonna get. And luckily for me, it's a dark chocolate covered Godiva almond and it was yummy! As my friend Bob would say, it's Christmas trees after Christmas trees. The fishing Gods graced us with bounty of fish, nice weather, shifting winds to the west and lastly a great time on a wind blown side of a mid lake jump.
Here are some eye candies as someone here calls them...
