Decided to change it up today and started me day on Holbrook. No wind, lake was dead calm and zero activity. Never saw any shad schools or much of anything moving around. Ran up north and got a couple to eat a frog and then flipped up a couple on docks. Just wasn't feeling it so I decided to hit another lake after an hour or so.
Had never been to Cypress Springs and it sounded like a good idea. Launched at Walleye Park and got one on the first dock I stopped at. Figured out pretty quick they were on the docks along the mouth of each creek/pocket as long as the dock had at least 3' or so of water on it. Texas rigged craw was the ticket. Had a fair number of fish up to 2 1/2-3lbs for the biggest. Also had a couple eat the buzzbait along shaded seawalls and under a dock or two. Did that till late afternoon and headed back to Fork to work on one of the skylights on my 5th wheel. Finished up and still had an hour or 2 of daylight left so I launched on Fork and managed to finally get them to eat a buzzbait. Nothing big just some fish to end the day.
Kinda fun fishing 3 lakes in the same day. Gonna hit Tawakoni tommorrow and then get bacjk to reality and work on Saturday....
