Ok I know it's over in Louisana and on the Red River just north of Natchitiches but some of our guys fish over there. I was looking at the Google maps and see what looks like a pipeline break in the river. The imagry shows 2016 so I don't know how current it is but does anybody know anything about it?

That's in pool 4, above Coushatta. I have never heard of it and, being honest, I was skeptical until I looked at it! Definitely something not right there

It appears to have a possible Pipeline on the west side, with small pump stations. But it could also just be an access road.

I see a paper mill a short distance away. It's probably their wastewater discharge pipe. Neat find regardless!

+1 No alerts from any pipeline operators and no reports of pipeline leaks on the Red.

Don't be too concerned. The Google maps are created by layers of photos taken at different resolutions and focus points over a long period time.(This is what allows you to ZOOM In and Out and the picture refocuses each time). What you see could have been a colored runoff during a heavy rain storm that was taking place when that particular set of photos was taken. I am sure any leak that would show on Google would have long ago been resolved.

If you look around at different lakes and different elevations you will see where the sun is shining on the water in one section of the picture but not in the one next to it.
