Looking at getting a jigmold or two and start pouring jigheads. I want recessed eyes... I want to use sickle hooks.
I've checked Jann's and Barlow's...but when I called Barlow's the lady said that the molds are set up more for the 570/575 hooks and not made for sickles (matzuo).
Any suggestions on other molds I can look at before I order?

The sickle hooks will basically interchange with the 570/575 hooks. You just need molds made for that style hook. Look at the description listed on the sickle hooks: "Wide gap sickle bend, Aberdeen style, ultra sharp, fine wire hook with black nickel finish. These hooks will fit most molds that use a 570 or 32756 style hook."

That was the issue I was having. I really don't want to order a mold and then find out the 100 or 1,000 hooks I bought won't work lol. She said some of them will interchange but some of them the lead will be too close to the first bend
I was looking at the Walleye Jighead and the Minnow Head Do-It Molds

Used a small grinder to grind where the sickle hook doesn't fit. Go to Barlow and see how the sickle hook fit the mold.

I was looking at the Walleye Jighead and the Minnow Head Do-It Molds I have both of these molds and the sickle hooks fit just fine.

Check out Jacobs jig molds & machine for molds that will last a life time. They are higher in price as they are machine made but a lot better than the do-it molds.

You can modify any mold w/ a dremel tool. I have a couple 5 gallon buckets full of Do It Molds and I would buy only machined molds if I could do it all over again. Much easier to clean up the jig heads after pouring. Jacob's Baits makes some of the best out there.
