 Tawakoni frog fish..............

Found a decent one today on a frog out there. Did not get many frog bites but when you get one like this it makes up for it. Notice its just skin hooked almost too? I did everything possible to lose this fish I think. She blasted the frog and literally jumped 2' out of the water twice. I figured I was gonna lose her but somehow I managed to get her in the boat. Funny story about that fish is that just a bit earlier something had blown up on a group of ducklings in the same area I caught her in. It happened 5-10 minutes before I caught her. Kinda wonder if it was not this fish. All in all it was a great day. TONS of bites out there on other baits besides the frog and these fish pull like freight trains right now as well. Doubt I caught anything deeper than 3'. Best 5 would have made a nice limit on the scales. Had another pig literally come off at the boat after I flipped up into some bushes and she bit. Would have liked to have had that one too. Weather was perfect, left them biting and had a blast.

It was a pretty healthy fish but it does have a big head. I thought she was bigger when I first saw her eat the frog. She was 23" long. I suck at taking pictures solo.

I was out today and saw a young duck about the size of your hand all by itself. It went underwater and I never saw it resurface. Dad and I thought he committed suicide or something, it was wild.

How long was that fish? Nice report. I caught a few shallow on Cedar Creek last Sat. that pulled pretty hard for the size. Mostly just under keeper size. Not on a frog though.

How long was that fish? Nice report. I caught a few shallow on Cedar Creek last Sat. that pulled pretty hard for the size. Mostly just under keeper size. Not on a frog though. Right at 23" on my Pro Rule

Then lean it up and back towards the boat. Does a good job, but I have the Mark Perry problem. I am a big dude with huge hands. It makes a big fish look smaller.

Tawakoni is on fire right now.. easy to get lots of bites.. The next 2 years are really going to be fun.. All the 14 inch fish will be 3 and 4 lbers..
