do y'all think a bait like this would be affective Trolling with no weight added and attached to a swivel on the main line

Wouldn't be my first choice in color, if you happen something more shad like I think you will do better. But that is just my opinion. But you can certainly troll with a lipless crank bait. You don't need a swivel. I would use a snap, just because it is easier to change baits.

You will not get much depth, only a few feet even with a 200+ feet of line out. But if you pull it through an active school you will get bit.

I catch plenty of black bass on that bait in gravel pits with lots of crawfish in them. I troll that bait in silver or silver/blue on Whitney and catch white mostly and the occasional black bass.

I don't fish much for stripers, but I can usually put on a 1 oz lure in chrome and troll on Lake Texoma and catch stripers.

Lipless is better for a cast and countdown retrieve. Trolling is not the best application for the bait most days. I agree that chrome is a much better color choice on most lakes.
