Hello,
Several times I have made my way to the far west end of Lewisville headed towards FM2499. Out past the island there are several groupings of square wooden posts, all in shallow water, that have metal mesh around them. Does anyone know what they are/were?
Thank You, Bryan

I think they're places where the corps or TP&W is or was trying to get some aquatic vegetation going. The mesh keeps most of the critters out. I've seen similar things in shallow water on the east end of the dam. Seems like I read something about this on Lewisville many years ago.
You are not a good or nice person.

MarkC is probably correct. How is the fishing up Hickory Creek now? I have not been up there in a couple of years.

Don, We found some crappie up near 2499. Not many though. The water was loaded with bait fish though. But so is the rest of the lake.
Everyone, Thanks for the information about posts. My FIL and I just couldn't figure out what they might be.

Those are fish attractors put out by the Denton Bass Club about five years or so ago. Was out there when they were doing it.
