Well folks.....this is what some of you have been waiting for. Reports of Large croaker are in the Surf...4# er's !!
Boy, these things look like Rat Reds too. G-town Ship Channel. I usually anchor up on the North side of Pelican Island Bridge when the Tides going out (towards the Yacht Basin). TC Dike may have a few big ones too. Soon as I change out my water/fuel separator...I'm gone. Fresh pan fish for the Winter is nice. Light tackle, small hooks, and it's on. It's warming up outside, so the Flatfish will come later on...

I freeze mine in water and do well for a few months. If you have a vacuum packer for food..even better

I caught 25 last Saturday night...one at least 15". And yes, they look like rat reds............LOL

A friend of mine went Saturday morning and he got 50 plus some drum.
