These fish have been biting pretty good for a couple of weeks now.
Some folks may remember back to last year at this time when the sand bass couldn't be found and all we could count on was catching catfish. In fact it's been that way for three years.
Well it's different this year we have had enough water in the creeks the last couple of years during spawning season the spawn has been successful for the sand bass and the yearly Hybrid stocking is paying off. We're catching tons of small hybrids and sand bass with enough keeper sand bass coming in the boat to make for a really good trip.

Fish are holding in the regular spots off the points and humps in depths of 15 to 24ft mainly sometimes out to 27ft.

Catfish are holding a little deeper on these points in about 30ft.

I hope everyone get to come fishing once more while they are biting.
