I've been hearing that the fishing has slowed down up at the Brazos lately. I decided to go check for myself Friday afternoon.

Date: 10-21-16
Time: 6:30-7:45 pm.
Weather: 75f sunny.
Water level: Low minimum release
Flies: #6 Olive or White Beadhead Wooly Bugger 18" under #6 Hopper.

Fish were everywhere that I thought they would be.

This years stocking schedule isn't published yet but here is what last year looked like:

12/3/2015, 12/17/2015, 1/4/2016, 1/14/2016, 2/4/2016, 2/25/2016

Good stuff I didn't realize you still had that hopper on up there

Caught several off the hopper on top. Once I had one on I could normally get another hit on the streamer below.

Looks like those real bigguns are not as plentiful as they were earlier in the year?

My sizes and numbers were up tonight from last week but still slightly down from two months ago.

Report: Guess it's just all mine! They'd hit a plain hook if offered. Look close, every one of these were caught on a yellow cork bug.
