I will just go out on a limb and say if you go to Texarkana you went to Millwood!!! If you didn't Shame on you!!!

Well ya didn't see me yesterday evening I see proably a good thing 3 hrs on Lake Gilmer proved to be a killer day if you could wait on the Son! Started out scanning to get a fix on fish depth marked several good locations holding fish.the sun kept peeking in and out on the clouds I finally settled on a nice top in 16 foot of water. The best bite came slow falling 90 degrees to wind direction.best colors we're Real Deal,Baby Shad and Gray Ghost. The Ghost did the most 52 fish total in 1 1/2 hours here's the kicker the bite only came when the Son was out from behind the clouds! Tip of the day wait on the right Son and success will come every day!

Didn't even make it a mile from the ramp Monday evening before I was spotted! Spent that morning hunting down a short that blew fuses Sunday night. The bite on lake Tyler was almost same depth as Gilmer,just a lot more wind Texas Toast was the color of the day in Bandits and Rascals with the Rascals pulling larger whites.they wanted the bait following real slow we fished a 1/32 plain head on #4 sickle.Put 23 in the box.

Today was no different just larger fish Palestine is a awsome lake for a good fall bite. I started the evening at a spot i hadn't been in 3 years kinda secret I marked my target as the big motor shut down,didn't even swap baits kinda flung what I brung if you know what i mean. I almost broke my old record as the clicker rolled to 28 fish in 32 minutes,I thought man this is to easy. I picked up my marker thinking back on how many times I'd fished for hours and caught nothing. I headed the boat southeast towards the lower end amazed at all the people tubing and such it was 45 degrees this morning! My trance was broken when my arrival alarm started going off i dropped the marker like a pitcher dead through the center. There was a slight southeast wind pushing into the point which made it easy to hold the boat the Lil Rascal in Toast shot out of the boat like a bullet. The line marker never made it to the 14 foot depth before it jumped #29 came in the boat then #40 I felt like I was at a rifle range shoot , hit! Then it happend a rare thing most folks don't get to see the water ripple from thousands of small bait as the crappie boiled on them the next 10 fish came from almost surface strikes to 3 foot down. There was a big smile on my face as i strapped the rod down and headed home knowing there aren't many days like these, I feel blessed to have had another one.
