Stupid question but I bought a boat and it has a humminbird 598ci hd si up front on the trolling motor but the guy took the unit he had on the console off along with the transducer on the back of the boat. If I wanted to move the unit to the console and the transducer to the back of the boat is it a different transducer than the one on the trolling motor?

Thanks,

Keith

There is a Side Imaging trolling motor puck---XTM 9 SI 180 T

The standard transducer for that unit is the transom Compact SI---XNT 9 SI 180 T.

To get the best performance from that unit, the HDSI transducer is the best since it is longer, has longer SI crystals that produce a thinner SI pulse and sharper images. XHS 9 HDSI 180 T

The transducer model you have is stated on a label about 12" from the plug.

With the prices of transducers, you might find a complete unit used for not much more and have front and back.

You may also list yours for trade and find someone who needs a trolling motor dicer

Thanks for the info guys. Probably will just look for a used unit/transducer for the back. Appreciate it.

This is what I have on my trolling motor. I cant find any part numbers on it. When I looked up the part number for the trolling motor puck it looks different than what I have. Basically can I mount this to the back of my boat? I know ill have to buy a mounting bracket.

That is the XNT 9 DI T transom transducer for a Humminbird Down Imaging unit.

Your installation is not recommended if the motor is a variable speed. The proper one is the XTM 9 DI 25 T since it is a trolling motor PUCK and has extra internal shielding to help with possible RFI from the trolling motor.

It is NOT a Side Imaging transducer that matches the model 598ci HD SI Combo.

Thats what I figured. Think ill just buy the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T and swap it out to the transom. Thanks you sure do know your stuff!
