The Western Division has a tournament on PK next month. My Granbury Bass Club fishing partner is a boat Captain for the HS Team. If our Club fishes PK the week before as our regular monthly tournament (we choose lakes by vote at the regular meeting) will he violate the no outside info 2 weeks prior rule? We fish a individual format so if he sees where other Club members fish or if I get lucky and one accidentally snags it self on my hook are we risking a rules violation for the next week. We definately do not want to jeopardize his HS team so should the Club fish another lake? Thanks Bill Roberts.

Just call your tournament director and ask him. That way you will get it straight from the horse's mouth.

Boat captains are allowed to pre fish, so fishing the weekend before is ok. He would have to be very careful not to solicite info from anyone else. Main thing would be if he were asked or had to take a lie detector could he comfortably answer that he did not solicite info.
The tournament director would be able to set the exact determination. I believe he is a TFF member so he will probably answer this when he sees it. Or you can get his contact info off the web site and call him.

I was curious if someone fished with me during the 14-day no info period if that would violate the no info rule. Broadly, the answer was yes. If it was another boat captain, team advisor, parent or other party allowed under the no info rule, then it would not be a violation. My concern was related to the Regional on Palestine which is two weeks after the annual Big Bass tourney out there (within 14 days).
