The Lake Fork Anglers 21st tournament of 2016 was Thursday Oct 20 out of Oak Ridge Marina. Next tournament is Nov 3rd.

Registration will start at 6 AM and end at 6:30 Am. Fishing starts at 7 AM and runs until 3 PM ....

Anglers may go out of any ramp they want too.

Results from Oct 20:

Club members caught 107 bass total after a late start for most because of the storms that hit about 6:30 AM while most wanted to launch. While the storms ended the rain and wind did not. Man it was blowing right out of the northwest. It finally warmed a little around noon, but the wind never died down. It just wore you out, particularly for the guy running the trolling motor.

But the fish were biting and only two anglers got skunked. And there were a bunch of decent slots caught too. Fish were caught on drop shots, wacky rigs, shakey heads, C-rigs, and crank baits for the most part.

1st place went to Jack White of Yantis with 10 fish for 12.78 and a 5.14 lunker.
We only count the five largest.
2nd place went to Steve Chick of Yantis also with 10 fish for 10.33 and the 4.93 lunker.
3rd place went to Mark Talley of Quitman with 5 fish for 10.26 pounds and a 6.03 lunker.
4th place went to Dennis Bubinas of Yantis with 10 fish for 10.11 and the 4.73 lunker
5th place went to Curt Blount of Yantis with 8 fish for 9.46 with a 4.93 lunker.
6th place went to Galen Smith of Alba with 3 fish for 9.38 with a 4.93 lunker .
And the lunker of the day was caught by Charlie Abresch of Hawkins with a 7.56.

Congrats to Dennis Bubinas for establishing new club personal best for both lunker and 5 fish bag.

We paid 6 places and had 25 anglers fishing and caught 107 fish and lot of them were quality slots. Only two skunked.
We did have several cancellations due to the pending weather.

How are those weights even possible. Because we measure and release, and record on a laminated sheet.

Way to goes guys!

The LFA fishes every other Thursday daytime at Lake Fork only. Persons interested in joining or fishing as a guest should e-mail me at sjbasser@aol.com. or PM me on here.

Here is your opportunity to fish with friendly knowledgeable Lake Fork anglers for the cost of a $5 annual dues and a $13 entry fee. Slot fish count. No teams. We are currently at below cap and are looking for a some boaters who will also fill in as co-anglers if needed and we will also accept "guests" who generally get to fish when regular members are away.
Actually none of our guests has sat one out as yet. And we are also looking for co-anglers.

Sometimes Fork is a big question mark. But even though we don't always slay them a few will find them. This week more than a few slayed them
